[FOSS] SFD2007 Competition Results, Excellent Article Discussing F(L)OSS

1. The winners of the SFD2007 competition have been announced:

- FOSS Nepal Community (70 organizers with 850 attendees)
- SFD Nicaragua 2007 Team (over 500 in attendance)
- Beijing Software Freedom Day (over 700 people attending, 15 exhibitors, 10 speakers)

Each team was awarded an OLPC (XO) laptop.  The competition is meant to help spread the word about the Free/Libre Open Source Software paradigm shift.

- Trinidad and Tobago Computer Society
- SFD Tunisia

2. New article about F(L)OSS benefits:

An excellent article, "It’s Time to Consider Open Source Software", has been brought to my attention.  The article debunks many F(L)OSS myths and notes the importance of F(L)OSS for educators.  Check it out at:
