[FOSS] Ubuntu, OLPC

Ubuntu 8.04 LTS was released on schedule today.  LTS is Long Term Support which means the desktop version will be supported for three years and the server version for five years.  I have been using the Beta version for three weeks on a refurbished eMachine and am quite pleased.  Good time to switch to Ubuntu!

Changes with the OLPC program force me to stop supporting the project.  I blog about it in "The Other F-word" at
